A Texas-designed residence called Casa de Verano just picked up three national honors at the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards Americas, with judges singling it out for weaving automation into the architecture so thoroughly that most guests would never clock it as a “smart home” at all.
The project, designed and installed by Austin-based integration firm HAAS Home Technologies, took home the Best Integrated Home Level III award and the Technology Meets Design award outright, plus an honorable mention in Best Home Cinema Level II, according to winners announced by CE Pro and confirmed independently by Residential Systems. CEDIA, the trade organization behind the program, handed out the honors at its Smart Home Awards Americas ceremony tied to CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver. Casa de Verano was reportedly the only project to win in multiple categories at this year’s Americas ceremony.
