Worker Says Some Idiot Parked a Porsche Halfway Into His Space, so He Let His Cheap Car Door Teach an Expensive Lesson

In a world where parking lots seem to bring out the worst in some drivers, a recent Reddit story showcased an all-too-familiar scenario that many can relate to. A worker, tired from a long day and the struggles of corporate life, had his patience tested when an expensive Porsche invaded his parking space. With no intention of letting the pricey vehicle get away with such a blatant disregard for parking etiquette, he employed a little creativity with his old, low-cost car.

Working for a large company, this individual faced a common dilemma: the parking lot was vast, yet spots were scarce. Arriving early to secure a good parking space, he parked his modest Opel Corsa neatly between the lines, leaving just enough room to enter his vehicle comfortably. After eight and a half hours spent answering calls and dealing with the daily grind, he returned to find a beautiful Porsche, parked aggressively close to his car, cutting into his space and nearly touching his side mirror.

As he stood there, annoyed and fatigued, the worker weighed his options—a polite request for the Porsche’s owner to adjust their vehicle would likely go unheard, leaving him with no other recourse. Rather than let the expensive car get away with such rudeness, he decided to embrace his frustration in a way that would teach the owner that no car is above basic parking etiquette.

Instead of entering through the passenger side, which would have been the courteous route, he squeezed himself awkwardly between the two vehicles. To make matters worse for the Porsche’s pristine exterior, he allowed his car door to make contact with the luxury vehicle as he maneuvered into his own. The collision was subtle—just a slight nudge—but enough to leave a dent or two on the shiny surface of the Porsche. In a moment of defiance, he even left the door ajar, needing to reopen it to ensure he fit comfortably inside. This second round of door contact certainly wasn’t an accident either; it was an intentional reminder of the Porsche’s poor parking skills.

As he drove home, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. The day had been long, and the frustrations of the office were still on his mind, but this small act of petty revenge lightened his mood. It served as a reminder that, while some vehicles command respect on the road, their drivers still need to follow the same rules as everyone else when it comes to parking. After all, a Porsche owner should surely know better than to hog a parking space, regardless of how flashy their car may be.

This incident resonated with many on Reddit, where comments flooded in with various accounts of similar experiences. One user recalled a time when a truck driver had parked so haphazardly that they had to force their door against the truck’s side, not only to get in but to also send a message about respecting personal space in parking lots. Another shared a tale of climbing over a car hood when their space was equally compromised, leaving behind a few shoe prints for the car owner to possibly notice. Parking wars are real, and they elicit a sense of camaraderie among those who have faced the impracticalities of poorly parked vehicles.

This self-proclaimed “revenge” story serves to highlight the unspoken rules of parking lots: respect the space, or face the consequences—even if those consequences come courtesy of an old, cheap car. For this worker, it wasn’t just about the physical act of hitting the Porsche; it was about reclaiming a small piece of dignity after a long day at work. After all, everyone has the right to park without the fear of being squeezed out by an obnoxious vehicle that thinks it can take over the world, one parking space at a time.
