Woman Lets Her Husband’s Ex Wife Move Into Their Family Home, Then The Renovation Drags On And Strangers Insist The Three Are Secretly Together

Bunny Hedaya knew the video would get attention. What she didn’t fully anticipate was how far strangers online would run with it. Posting as @bunnyhedaya, Hedaya shared that her husband’s ex-wife had moved into their family home in Tampa, Florida — and instead of the reaction being confusion or curiosity, a large portion of it became speculation that the three adults were secretly in a romantic relationship.

Hedaya, 35, has been married to entrepreneur Harry Hedaya, 58, for 12 years. Harry’s ex-wife, Carrie Charles, also 58, divorced him roughly a decade before Bunny entered the picture, and the two maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship in the years since. That existing friendliness, Bunny says, is what allowed a close bond to form between her and Charles over time — to the point that when Charles needed somewhere to stay, moving into Bunny and Harry’s home was the obvious answer.

Charles’s own nearby residence went into extensive renovations, and she initially expected the work to take around four months. But construction delays pushed that timeline out considerably, and the family is now looking at a renovation that could stretch past a year. Rather than have Charles book short-term rentals or hotel stays for over a year, the Hedayas simply offered their spare space — the home has separate bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, and Charles splits her time between Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico anyway, so she isn’t there constantly.

Once the video started circulating, the comments section filled with a very specific theory: that Bunny, Harry, and Carrie were living as a throuple, and that the renovation story was cover for a romantic arrangement between all three. It’s an easy leap for strangers online to make when the actual setup — a wife, a husband, and his ex-wife, under one roof, for over a year — sounds unusual on the surface. But it’s also entirely unverified speculation, not something Hedaya has confirmed or suggested in any of her videos, and she has directly and repeatedly pushed back on it.

Hedaya has been clear that her relationship with Charles is platonic, describing her as something closer to “an older sister” than anything romantic. She’s also pointed out a detail that undercuts the throuple theory pretty directly: Charles recently remarried and is, by Hedaya’s account, happy in that relationship. That alone complicates the idea that Charles is secretly involved with Bunny and Harry — she has her own spouse outside the household entirely.

What Hedaya has described instead is a genuinely close, if unconventional, extended family. She and Harry have a nine-year-old son whom Bunny homeschools, and much of her content focuses on their day-to-day life and travel as a family unit that happens to include Harry’s ex-wife as a welcome, semi-regular presence rather than a stranger passing through. For Hedaya, the arrangement reads as practical and warm — not something that requires a scandalous explanation to make sense.

Why This Kind Of Arrangement Isn’t As Rare As It Looks

Hedaya’s situation is unusual enough to go viral, but blended families finding creative, cooperative living arrangements is more common than the comment section reaction might suggest — it just doesn’t usually end up on TikTok. A few things worth knowing if a similar situation ever comes up in your own family:

  • Co-parenting relationships that stay amicable for years, especially when a new spouse is actively included rather than sidelined, tend to make later arrangements like temporary shared housing far less fraught than people assume.
  • Long renovation timelines are extremely common; construction delays of several months to over a year are the norm rather than the exception, which is often the actual, unglamorous reason behind living arrangements that look unusual from the outside.
  • It’s worth having a clear, practical conversation about house logistics (space, privacy, finances, how long the stay is expected to last) before a family member moves in, even when the relationships involved are warm — it heads off friction later.
  • Online speculation about a family’s private relationships often says more about what’s unfamiliar to viewers than what’s actually happening in the household; a story going viral doesn’t make a guess about it accurate.

For now, Charles’s renovation is still ongoing, and by Hedaya’s account, so is the arrangement that’s kept her in the family home for well over the four months originally planned. Hedaya has continued posting updates on their day-to-day life without addressing the throuple rumors as anything more than internet noise — a reminder that sometimes the least dramatic explanation really is the true one.
