Husband is documenting every step of secretly recreating his wife’s entire Pinterest dream board inside their own home and this is part two of the surprise reveal

Part two of a running series picks up where the last video left off, with @kylerennis continuing to rebuild a room to match his wife’s Pinterest dream board, this installment centered on wallpaper installation as the space moves closer to the saved images that started the project. The format, documenting a room transformation in numbered parts rather than a single before-and-after, has become one of the more popular ways creators build an audience that returns specifically to see how a project ends.

Recreating a Pinterest-inspired room is rarely as simple as buying everything pinned to a board, since most saved images mix furniture, paint colors, and decor sourced from completely different retailers and price points. Wallpaper installation, the task shown in this part of the series, is one of the costs that varies the most depending on the product chosen. Traditional pasted wallpaper, which this video appears to show being applied, generally runs from about $30 to $100 or more per roll depending on pattern and material, and typically requires some combination of wallpaper paste, a smoothing tool, a seam roller, and careful trimming around outlets and trim work to get a clean finish.

Peel-and-stick wallpaper has become the more common choice for homeowners who want a similar look without the commitment, since it can usually be removed without damaging paint or drywall, which makes it popular in rentals or for anyone who expects to change the design again within a few years. It tends to sit in a similar price range per roll but trades some durability and seam quality for that flexibility, and it’s generally considered less forgiving of uneven walls than traditional pasted paper.

Beyond wallpaper, recreating a full Pinterest-inspired bedroom typically also involves new bedding, window treatments, lighting fixtures, and smaller decor layers like art, mirrors, and textiles, all of which add up well beyond the cost of the wallpaper alone. Design cost estimates for a moderate bedroom refresh, covering paint or wallpaper, new bedding, and a handful of decor and lighting updates without replacing major furniture, commonly fall somewhere between $500 and $2,500 depending on how much is sourced secondhand or on sale versus purchased new.

What tends to separate a successful Pinterest recreation from a disappointing one isn’t the individual products but getting the proportions and placement right, since a saved photo rarely shows the true scale of a room. Designers who work from mood boards often note that a pinned image can be deceiving about furniture size, wall height, and lighting placement, which is why many recreation projects, like this one, get built in careful stages rather than all at once.

With more installments apparently still to come, the series has settled into a format that rewards patience: each part shows one piece of the vision taking shape, with the full dream-board payoff reserved for whenever the renovation finally wraps.
