Streamer Adin Ross Won a Bidding War for Albuquerque’s Real Breaking Bad House and Paid $1.3 Million for a Home Fans Line Up to Photograph

A $400,000 Listing That Sold for $1.3 Million

The house at 3828 Piermont NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico, hit the market on February 3, 2026, priced at $400,000. Twenty-two days later, it closed for $1.3 million, more than triple the asking price, after a bidding war that drew roughly 20 offers, according to the Albuquerque Journal. The buyer was streamer and internet personality Adin Ross, who confirmed the purchase on his own livestream and social media.

The Most Famous Address in Albuquerque

The four-bedroom, 1,920-square-foot home is instantly recognizable to millions of people who have never set foot in New Mexico. It served as the fictional residence of Walter White, the chemistry-teacher-turned-drug-kingpin at the center of AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” which ran from 2008 to 2013.

A Family’s 50-Year Home, and a Bidding War They Didn’t Ask For

Real property records and the Albuquerque Journal’s reporting tie the sale to the Padilla family, who had owned the home for more than five decades. According to the Journal, the family had endured persistent attention, and at times harassment, from fans drawn to the property’s fictional fame. An earlier attempt to sell the house for $4 million had failed to attract a buyer, and the property returned to the market in February 2026 at a far more modest $400,000 asking price. The home went under contract on February 9 and closed roughly two weeks later.

The Buyer Confirms It Himself

Adin Ross said on his own broadcast that he had won the bidding war and completed the purchase, a claim later corroborated by reporting from the Albuquerque Journal and the Robb Report. Ross has indicated he intends to remodel the interior into an exact replica of the version seen on screen.

Fans Already Show Up Without an Invitation

Because “Breaking Bad” filmed extensively on location in Albuquerque, the Piermont Drive house became one of the few real, addressable landmarks connected to the show. The strain on the Padilla family was serious enough that they previously had a low fence installed around the property to discourage visitors, a step widely reported when the crowds were at their heaviest.

What the Sale Says About Pop-Culture Real Estate

The nearly $900,000 premium over asking price is a reminder that a house’s value isn’t only set by square footage. For a property tied to a cultural phenomenon as durable as “Breaking Bad,” the price reflects the story attached to the address as much as anything inside its walls.
